How to restore a WB Figure Studio project on another computer
Open a .wbfig package with a compatible version and check figures, complete originals and source relationships.
Choose Back up project on the original computer, keep that backup and copy it to the new computer.
Sign in online on the new computer. In 2.0, registered users can restore projects and continue strip editing and figure layout free. Advanced features need an active trial or paid license. Choose a local data folder, then click Open project and select the .wbfig file.
Check figures, complete originals, band annotations and source relationships before continuing.
Sign-in does not sync experimental images. If a device-license limit is reached, manage linked devices from the account page.
From build 1.1.40, complete packages also include up to 10 named history versions, their source images and the latest 20 calculation records. Older packages can be opened, but absent histories or calculations cannot be restored, and local history from other projects is not mixed in.
From build 1.1.40, a missing original or checksum mismatch preserves strip references but blocks scientific output for that image. Reimport the identical acquisition file or open a complete package containing it. A matching checksum restores the source while keeping names, timestamps, asset identity and crop coordinates. Editing recovery records cannot restore missing originals.
Common mistakes
Local autosave and sign-in are not cloud sync. An exported figure image is not a complete project backup. Unsaved band drafts are not included in a project package.
